Weave House
‘The owners approached us to work some interior design magic. We immediately could see how to elevate the mood and weave a new look into an existing house by creating bright light filled spaces and introducing warmth through colour and layers of texture’.

Exchanging a dark and heavy interior for one infused with light, vitality and a contemporary ambience was the masterstroke in this home’s reinvention.
Befitting its sunny position and tranquil outlook over Sydney Harbour, a fresh white backdrop became the blank canvas onto which an array of distinctive rugs, shapely and tactile furniture and arresting art was layered.
This pleasing composition of elements was further enhanced by the warmth of the colour palette, combining soft coastal shades with energetic pops of mustard, blush and terracotta.
While the home needed to be family friendly, beautiful, timeless pieces and custom designs were specified, lending interest and refinement to the scheme and keeping the mood upbeat.
Although there were few structural changes made, the pièce de résistance was the creation of a wine room, in a space previously occupied by a children’s playroom, providing a sophisticated adults’ retreat. Connecting directly and visually with the living area through soaring steel and glass doors it feels both separate and inclusive, a clever outcome in a busy, family home.
